The comairrotron.com blower web site formulas show the CFM will drop in half and the noise will drop 15 db. Horsepower drops to 1/16 HP if I did the math correctly.

Hi,
I have a Dayton pressure blower that puts out 820 CFM with a 3450 RPM 1/3 HP
motor. If I substitute a 1725 RPM 1/4 HP motor will the CFM drop in half?
Will the roaring sound drop accordingly also? I hope there is a straight
formula rather than working with fan diameter and number of blades etc?
