At work we contracted with CPI/Eimac recently to build some pulsed HV switch triodes. We specifically requested they be made from glass and metal and not ceramic/metal. They complied.

In my (limited) experience, it seems that ceramic tubes are better at
keeping their vacuum than glass tubes. Anyone else had that experience?

Years ago, Tektronix changed over from glass CRTs to ceramic partly for
that reason.
