Here's a liquid-cooled MRFX1K80N after soaking for 15 minutes at 1KW output
from the LPF.
It uses a commercial cold plate bolted to the 5x6x3/8" C114 spreader with
top-grade thermal grease.
The coolant is 90% distilled water, 10% propylene glycol. The refrigerated
chiller sinks up to 1600W.
(designed for two modules)

Although you can't see it here, the coolant temp was just about exactly
30C, the thermistor well by the device read 40C
and the case temp of the device was 74C.

A different air-cooled version I built runs 40C at the thermistor well
after 10 minutes
@ 1KW with roughly 200CFM of (poorly-controllled) air on the heatsink.

The point is that none of the NXP or newer Ampleon devices differ THAT much
in basic performance.
If the Elecraft amp displays 90C, it must be extrapolated or measured at
the ceramic case. Nothing else makes sense.
