This is very different.  When you are scoping out traffic nets, you have no
idea whether a specific individual will be there, who will be receptive to
your contest advances.   Loading up a bandmap before the contest is akin to
reaching into the pond, grabbing a docile fish, and poking it onto the hook.
All you have to do is yank the line at the starting time, and you have your
trophy fish.
