If that is the only argument then it is not valid because:
1) There are authentic stations exist that get green stamps and do
not send cards in return.
2) If Nr1 is not applicable to cheating station and cards for
cheater's operation are going to be send out, cheater will not gain
anything money wise.

Accepting the fact that your word is not enough of validation of your
identity you put your word lower then some piece of paper which
lowers your self esteem. This is harder thing to restore if damaged.
Is it worth while when we talk about hobby which does not put
someone's life in jeopardy.
