Hi Joe and Everyone:

I do not believe that contests that currently consider operators using 
assistance as multi-operators should modify their existing categories to create 
a "combined" single operator category.

I would HATE to see the ARRL 10 meter contest do this, for example.  I did a 
serious single operator CW only effort in that contest and enjoyed it very 
much.  I would NOT have enjoyed it as much if I had to operate Assisted to be 
competitive.

I wish WAE would re-introduce the single operator (unassisted) category also.  
:-)  I do that one seriously every year and I have to use RBN/packet to be 
competitive since they don't have a traditional single operator category.
