Today at Costco I saw 45-watt-equivalent PAR38 LED bulbs, but these had
a power consumption of 5 watts and were about double the price of the
ones I described above. Both are "Lights of America" brand. I think I
had fluorescent security lights of that brand many years back, now that
I come to think of it, and I'm not sure that the bulbs lasted as long as
I expected. But my experience with Sylvania bulbs -- whether
incandescent or CFL -- hasn't been entirely satisfactory either.
