How would this be for a definition:

SO1R: One transmitted signal at a time and one received signal at a time. 
When the transmitter is on, the receiver must be off. (i.e. normal 
one-transceiver operation).

SO2R: Any combination of transmitters and receivers, without any 
restrictions as above.
