Bill,

You cannot be trusted to speak the truth when it does not suit you.

I have no need to make any disclaimer. Yes, I distribute microHAM
products. However, there are far more single radio products than
the "SO2R controller" (MK2R or MK2R+). There are thousands of
operators using microHAM products in single radio stations.

Again, you cant even quote me correctly. I said I have held this
call for barely two years. I said nothing about not doing any
RTTY contesting in that period - I simply haven't worked YOUR station
with this call.

NO what you want is for SO2R to be relegated to its own ghetto - to
keep it to its own kind - or to keep it away from the "right kind"
of operators.

Why should I be pressing for elimination of a power based class?
If YOU were consistent you would be pressing for separate entry
classes for antennas containing more than 1/2 wave of wire or
tubing and/or more than one wavelength above ground. After all,
those are purely defined by hardware and represent a significant
advantage unlike SO2R which is an operating technique that can
be used to a greater or lesser degree by any operator depending
on his or her skill level.

There is nothing about SO2R that prevents attracting new people
to contesting. If you believed that, you would have to apply
the same treatment to antennas, computers, memory keyers, voice
keyers and multi-lingual skills. To discriminate against the
skills you do not posses - and say that someone who advocates
for equal treatment for all skills is "biased" is pure crap.
Your bigotry is showing through.
