You might want to cut 'em a teensy bit of slack on this. There are
certain software programs that will UNDO split when clicking on a
different spot and then returning. They give no warning - one minute
split is on and the next it is off. I was a victim of this several times
until I figured out what was happening. Now I check my split EVERY time
I begin a sequence of calls.
