Yes, I generally ask for a repeat unless the signal is very strong.
After a while one develops a sense for whether the print is correct or
not. If there is any doubt, I ask for a repeat.
And my pet peeve: Repeating more than is asked for. If I send NR NR,
the number is all I want. Not your call, not my call and not your
favorite ice cream. Just the number please!
