Not only is that all you get, but you get even less. you've been used to near
perfection in radio performance from our offshore
suppliers.
like our domestic cars, not only are they less efficient in design, but
they leak and they're poorly assembled. get used to it. but hey, youre an
amachoor radio operator. you come in all flavors and
temperments. youve been around long enough to have driven all the models. yet
theres something warm and fuzzy about that less than
perfect object, knowing you might have to work on it, increase
your knowledge and skill level, outperform the less than perfect
object of your affection. ten tec gives you that opportunity.
weve got plug and play computer. you learned all there is to know about them in
pretty short order. all you have to do is wait for
the next step in technology then let the price even out. your perfect plug and
play radio comes to you all nice and user friendly. a
couple of months later, once youve mastered it, youre bored.
your domestic ten tec is way bigger, lots less ergonomic, like an eccentric
musician
it doesnt care that it doesnt resemble r2d2. and all you can do is sit there
red faced and figured out that you paid for those
inconveniences? shut up.
so what are the differences between the omni 6 and the 1000mp? find out for
yourself. dont cite numbers and statistics. 30hz on 20
meters is pretty minor considering its using crystals defining noise floor as
its goal. six months after the purchase youll still be
discovering nifty facets of the ten tec u cant do with the others.
