Gang: One other point I have not seen mentioned. The Omni C is labeled ON THE FRONT PANEL, with only the word OMNI. The series designator "C" is on the rear panel, same as the series "A" and "B".

While the original Omni's may have been updated to the series "B", free of charge as stated by someone, I have seen that service advertised for $50.00, and am quite sure the one I owned had a bill, in the amount of $50.00, for that service from Ten Tec, stapled to the manual.

Interesting discussion, as I do believe there has been more confusion identifying the Omni series, than any radio I have seen.
