Think of a meter as a long yard or slightly over 3' and it's easy to visualize..... I have often dearly wished we were on metric on this side of the pond...makes it a lot easier to do the math in my head...but then, I am a retired engineering aide! ----- Original Message ----- From: "Joseph A. & Ruth O. Rick:

A humble suggestion re your interesting e-mails re antennas (including the
vert. dipole)...
Assuming that a majority of the reflector members are located here in the
USA, might
you consider using the old fashioned measurement system, or at least both.
Most folks in the USA have not, and probably won't in the next 20-50 years
(if ever), converted
to, or use, the metric system of measuring things (except those technocrats
that lurk in the
halls of 'white tower' edifices (ie MIT, Yale, Princeton, etc).
Reading your dissertations causes this old man to have his eyes 'glaze'
over - and doesn't easily
translate.
Just a friendly suggestion.
