Yes - the firmware for the ORION II is also the next version of the firmware
for the original ORION. The delay in releasing it has been that we've been
working on it internally for quite some time to run both transceivers.

No upgrade from one to the other. 7 circuit boards, filters, screen, mic jack
have all changed. The cost to upgrade one to the other would be prohibitive -
we've elected not to offer it as an option.
