Maybe, but I haven't seen it listed for a long time. It was sold as a
way to reduce interference (ingress) for weak signal TV reception, as
you note.
For Tx use, it would have a controlled impedance that should not care
about nearby conductors. However, you'd expect higher loss. You
should check the max. voltage ratings, too.
