Also running 2.056 and the Remote I/O works fine. I find that I have to
have the sub receiver's audio either muted or turned off so not to mix
with the desired audio on the main.

I am using a microHam microkeyer for my I/O and audio switching with
numerous programs.

My apologies, guys, I'm still running 2.055. Intended to load .056 but
haven't done so...may not if this is persistant.

I do not see this with 2.055. Buck, maybe you want to revert and see if the
problem persists.

On my v2.056 Orion, the aux I/O "line" outputs definitely vary (almost
linearly) with the main/sub af controls.

Hi, Buck,

Well, I"m running RTTY with 2.056, with no problem, using the AUX I/O. I
set the volume to the program with the volume control for the soundcard.
The front control has no function on the I/O. Are you sure you have the
TX
Audio Source in the SSB menu set to AUX and not MIC or BOTH? Then pull
up
in Windows START>All Programs>Accessories>Entertainment>Volume Control
and
make sure your LINE IN is enabled, or easier yet just click on the volume
control in the lower right of your monitor. If you're hooked up
correctly,
LINE-IN will control the volume to the soundcard from the AUX OUT plug on
the radio.

It is possible that you're simply using the sound from the speaker
through
your microphone to drive the software, because the TX Audio Source is set
to
mic or both.

Hope this helps...or call me at 952 212 2664
