Gee... I don't mean to be contrary, but not always. Sometimes I have to go in and set it myself. You told me to do that last week when I was messing with all three radios on the program... it did not figure the baud rate itself, but when I selected the baud rate, it worked.

Maybe this is partly a function of the particular USB-Serial adapters I am using? I wonder if they are all reporting the right info back to the program... the TenTec converter cable for the RX-320D works fine, but the USB port on the TS-590s sometimes needs a nudge. The $5 Cheapo Chinese cable works sometimes, other times needs a nudge - it is spotty, but works when I manually select the setting.

So maybe the cables are the issue and the software is precluded from setting the baud rate by a hardware quirk ? At least that is the way it seems to me.
