The baud rate is not an option with any of the tentec radios. The N4PY program always sets the correct rate. You were using a kenwood radio last week which does have baud rate settings in the N4PY program.

Gee... I don't mean to be contrary, but not always. Sometimes I have
to go in and set it myself. You told me to do that last week when I was
messing with all three radios on the program... it did not figure the
baud rate itself, but when I selected the baud rate, it worked.

Maybe this is partly a function of the particular USB-Serial adapters I
am using?
I wonder if they are all reporting the right info back to the program...
the TenTec converter cable for the RX-320D works fine, but the USB port
on the TS-590s sometimes needs a nudge. The $5 Cheapo Chinese cable
works sometimes, other times needs a nudge - it is spotty, but works
when I manually select the setting.

So maybe the cables are the issue and the software is precluded from
setting the baud rate by a hardware quirk ? At least that is the way
it seems to me.
