Connie, Bold repair persons get zapped by capacitor cans or rather the individual sections. The FIRST time. Then they hopefully become old repair persons. Old repair persons know to have a bleeder resistor on a couple of insulated probes to discharge those caps, even if the set has been turned off, before they every probe around inside. Same for the HV on a CRT from a TV or other HV scope. There are no Old, Bold repair persons. -Stuart Rohre K5KVH Made a believer on a 21 inch set when they were top of the line in size! _______________________________________________ TenTec mailing list TenTec@contesting.com http://lists.contesting.com/mailman/listinfo/tentec |
