Mike,
I use a Yamaha CM500 with both of my Orion IIs. It works very well, but will
require some padding or you'll need to turn the Orion's mic gain way down
since its output is much higher than most other mics.

I've pretty much decided to try the Orion II first (and perhaps last). Some
things I have figured out (band data output to my amp), others...not so
much. One item of curiosity is the use of my beloved CM-500 with the Orion
II. I hadn't really taken steps to use it with the Omni VII, so I am
wondering if anyone has had any experience with the combination?
