Mike,
The CM 500 was a topic at a recent club meeting and it received high marks. I
don't think you'll have any issues with it. Several people commented with the
success of using it with the K3 and a few other radios - you'll probably be
very happy with it for the Orion II.

I've pretty much decided to try the Orion II first (and perhaps last). Some
things I have figured out (band data output to my amp), others...not so much.
One item of curiosity is the use of my beloved CM-500 with the Orion II. I
hadn't really taken steps to use it with the Omni VII, so I am wondering if
anyone has had any experience with the combination?
