The grill manufacturer Weber actually sells a Barbeque Black aerosol paint. It's available at most Weber dealers. Not sure about the "Big Box" stores, but around here the hardware stores that sell Weber barbeques also sell their paint.

For black covers as with the Drake R4-B receiver, I used to use Barbecue
Black from Rust-Oleum..... looking at their website, I don't see that, but
they do have a hammered series as well as a textured series, high
temperature, and epoxy paints. Krylon paints are also a good choice as I've
used them for accessories in the shack.

James, please do that.
I think we all face this problem from time to time.

When I was a teenager, I used to buy broken receivers and transmitters at
the Hamfest flea markets, fix them and then repaint their cabinets. I never
found a decent method to paint them. They always looked good but were
over-sensitive to scratching.

I have a couple of old pieces of equipment now that I would like to repaint.

Tnx.
