Gang,

I’ve been sitting on the side on this one. Like bob said, you need a good 
counter, not a hamfest special. 

But all this talk about counters and calibration down to a single Hz, I doubt 
that the service bench guys at the factory would miss a calibration point.

So, I’m going to throw this in the hat. Might be 100% wrong, God knows I’ve 
been before (I married my first wife) but I’m wondering if perhaps, just 
perhaps the filter (Transmit) has a ‘bump’ in it? Knocking the required signal 
out a hair, throwing the whole shebang under the bus. I’m guessing. A wild 
stab, whispers in the dark. 


I’ haven’t studied the schematic on the omni VI and I’m not sure where the 
filter comes in the circuit, but what the hey. However since you have another 
Omni, how about swapping out the stock filter?
