A slightly frivolous reply to a very serious question...

The Royal Navy's way of dealing with the risks around remotely operated
gun mountings is to post a helpful warning notice.

I found this message on a wooden sign-board, washed up from the sea near
a naval gunnery range. Painted in big red letters, it read:

       WARNING!
MOUNTING MAY MOVE
WITHOUT WARNING.
