Part of it is. The threaded portion is the standard barrell connector
(double female) with the threads cleaned off one end and then soldered into
the back side of the 3/4" connector. I don't remember the part number.
The 3/4" adapter is made from 1/2 of a 3/4" compression coupling that we cut
in two.
Compression fittings also come with one end to fit standard pipe threads so
you could get one to from 1/2" tube to say, 1/2 MPT (Male Pipe Thread) which
has quite a chunk of brass on the threaded end. Then drill to the proper
size and solder in a barrell connector as was done in the photos, or *IF*
you can find a set of taps to fit the coax connector you could thread the
fitting and just screw in the barrell connector. However each of these
approaches adds a bit more work to creating the adapter. While not as
elegant the PL-259 in the compression is by far the simpelest.
