They must be referring to other companies old rotors, the previous
generation of g800/1000/2700/2800sdx were all dc and the boxes should still
be compatible with the dxa except for the plugs.

Appears in all the listings for the 800/1000/2800. Certainly misleading to
someone if they didn't have experience with those older Yaesus.
I learned the hard way that the 450 absolutely was changed. Seeking a
spare, I had ended up with a a controller from something like 2005 that put
out an AC control voltage and would NOT work with the new 450s. Wiring was
different, schematic was different, the old ones were AC, new ones DC. I
considered that a frustrating 'gotcha'. I learned that the change took
place in 2019. My G-5400 is 24VAC at the rotators. The old 5500 is AC.
The new 5500(DC) is DC. The manual for the new 5500 is copyright 2019.
