Amen. Bells and whistles may be nice, but during one contest I had W2SZ/1 60 
miles to my east with a kw on 6 & 2, and KB2ZVP 9 miles to my north  also with 
a kw on 6 & 2. My major need was a crunch-proof front end. Both these guys have 
clean signals, just very strong.
