What? Do what you feel is right, but I'm seriously confused. How does this
"discourage people who want to operate 7 bands..."? I've often asked others
to post how may rover to rover contacts they have ever made and the answer
has always been pretty low unless they were with a group.
I even looked back at your last few efforts. You've only submitted 2 logs
since 2006 so I realize the base of information isn't huge. In 2006, you
had 525 QSOs and 366 of those were on 6 meters. I'm sure you didn't hit the
50% mark for rover to rover contacts. Only you would know if you made 30
contacts with any single other rover, but based on the distribution of
points, I would actually be surprised if you did.
Now... you had a pretty good score and placed 9th overall. Had it not been
for the grid circlers, you would have placed 7th. If you made more than 30
contacts with any single other rover, you would have been Unlimited and
placed higher (can't tell exactly, but you get the point... I hope).
Based on that, can you tell me exactly how these new proposed rules would
adversely affect you? How do they drive you from the sport/hobby? Is it
just that you're opposed to any change? I can't see how anything would
change all that much for you. If you're making that many contacts with a
single other rover, just submit as Unlimited. Seems simple enough to me,
but then again, nobody has ever answered my question about why people are so
opposed to being in that category.
73 and good luck with your contesting future.
