That will not wrok. Of course I want COMM PTT to wrok. I tried it anyway.
To all I have rewired my cables and rest my other programs. I now use THE
SAME PROT for CW and PTT. It wroks, it is fine.
Ther reason I did not want to do this is becaseuse two dievices (RADIO and
RIGBLASTER) are now on the same calbe. It is not as convenient to break
down this way unless I amke up soem connectors to allwo eay separation. I
also had to reset all my other programs to use Prt 2 which is the one I now
use for both C and PTT.
My opinion which is obviously not shared is that CW and Other Modes are
independent and should allow you to use PTT as an independent PORT control
I CANNOT use the same port as the radio control since the Kenwood,
CORRECTLY I MIGHT ADD , requires that DTR be asserted or the radio control
won't work. Even if mine did not, others correctly by standards do.
If I seemed a bit pedantic and a bit of a complainer, I am sorry for those
ti offended. Often people get insulted or upset when a new user criticizes
a program that they have been using for a long time. It sort of becomes
like the flag. You are not allowed to say anything about it and even when
it is reasonable and correct. I understand that but I still feel I had a
right to make this observation and request.
Let us let this thread end now.
