I have found that the Heil mics work fine with several different sound cards
if you turn on the Mic Boost Advanced function in the sound control panel.
Not sure how much "boost" that is, but it seems to be enough.
Did find with W2K that I needed the latest drivers or the boost wasn't
enough, go figure, the SW driver has more control than the hardware :o).
Glad I'm a retired hardware engineer.
