I think it's probably fair to assume that your hopes will be realised. But
it's the individuals (OK, teams) who will be the winners, not the country.
Does anyone know... Is the WRTC 2000 video available in PAL format? (no dig
intended)

My hope is that the US will send their best contesters to win the 1-2-3!  I
think Dave Bell's, W6AQ, video title of WRTC 2000 says it best "THE HAM
RADIO
OLYMPICS".  In the Olympics we send our best participants.  Send our best
operators, who want to participate (John, Doug, Danny, Jeff, etc)!  I'll
pull
for the home team no matter which ones they are.  Go America!
