The Corsair's also have this feature.  I don't know about the Omni but 
on the Corsairs not only can you listen to two frequencies (on the same 
band) at once, you can also adjust the relative level of each frequency 
to emphasize one or the other or make them the same.  Nice feature 
and WAY ahead of it's time maybe.   Of course the Hallicrafters 
Cyclone with remote VFO also had dual receive but at equal level, no 
adjustment.
