Thats not a bad price for a 3CX3000 size unit. Add another $100 or so for
a decent turns counter. One other thing to consider is that both the Tune
and Load caps must have sufficient range to cover all the frequencies of
interest OR you will have to add a switch to select fixed C.
For an 8877 you can buy the complete AL 1200/1500 bandswitch from
Ameritron for about $100. They will also sell you the complete tank
circuit and any other part you want. They are in the PARTS business and
sell to anyone and even list a seperate phone # 601- 323-8211.
