Incidentally, I think this has had a big impact on DX'ing as well.

At least for me, it has taken the spark out of DX hunting. Gone are the
days of tuning the band and finding that rare DX station calling CQ or
just finishing a QSO with someone else and you get to work him before
the crowd.

Sure, it still happens, but far less than days gone past.

Now, it's almost certain some noob is going to spot the DX and cause a
massive pileup thereby preventing his/her peanut whistle and wire from
having a chance to work the DX him/her self. I always wonder why people
spot DX before they have worked the DX themselves. I guess some simply
can't help themselves.

With all of the crap being posted on the DX cluster it's really time the
cluster is made a closed system, requiring proof of a license and a
login for accountability in order to gain access.
