The ARRL is not a volunteer organization.  The staffers are paid and we pay
for the publication and services.  People treating this like it's a mistake
in a club newsletter are way off base.  It's a national paid publication.


You 100% correct  and if this was the APRIL issue  the lack of elementary 
standard safety practices  would be in order.
then there would be a page inside the publication asking to find the obvious 
infractions in the pictorial .

 But to give a get out of jail free card for a publication devoted to  antennas 
 that includes a section on  tower safety that contradicts the cover shot !

 As a cover on face Value .. youth in Ham Radio I am behind 100%  but depicting 
a image that represents  the  possibility of   severely injured or  even a 
fatality
IMO  is  " WAY OFF BASE "
