Zack and others,

I don't get microwave gear for several reasons, limited budget, poor health,
etc. I live in a rather remote area as far as weak signal operators are
concerned and find much difficulty getting expert assistance in setting up
new station equipment. It has been 2 years since I was able to get tower
work and likely to be several more in the future. I decided that it would
be best for me to concentrate on one band and try to be competitive there.

One of the problems I noticed with the multi band folks is they tend to
ignore the single band stations. After all who wants to work a one point
station when they can gather all kinds of points and multipliers from
working one multi band station.

I don't have any problem with the multi band folks but I think all bands
should have the same point value.

I don't know if this has been discussed before but I feel that competition
would be fairer and more stimulating if one was only allowed to work a
station on one band. Think about it, two multi band stations working each
other on all bands gather more points in 30 minutes than some single band
folks are able to do in several hours unless there are exceptional band
conditions.
