Hi Ron,
I know that any single op station cannot use ping jockey, or any of the
propagation pages and be considered legal. Using those aids puts them in the
assisted category, and they have become a multi op station as a result of
using it. I also know that many people use Ping Jockey who are not in the
contest, so it does not really matter for them. It is only if you are trying
to be a single operator that you run into trouble. I think many ops do not
understand this, as I have heard some single ops comment that they always
use the prop pages to find QSOs etc. (not good!)
I'll pass on the APRS question. I am not that knowlegible on the
subject. Anything I said about it would be "blather" on my part. And no
jokes please!
