Amen. The 700 club reflector would be a good place for the rule givers
to post.
The station at NSS ran 16 15,000 Watt plate dissipation triodes. I think
they were a 3C15,000 with 1 MegaWall output on CW. The 16 were in four
clusters of four. The grid was 1/4" diam copper tubing with demineralized
cooling water and the anode was in a water jacket about 5 ft tall. The
tuning network was a coil of 2 inch diameter copper wire wound on a huge
wood frame in a building all to itself. The antenna was hung from seven
450 ft self supporting towers pointed toward the 6th fleet.
I wonder if taking a few turns off the coil would move it from LF to 30
meters?
