A 4E27 pentode is rated at 65w of anode/plate dissipation. The
filament/cathode consumes 7.5a at 5V. The emissive capability is about
190mA in linear service.. A total anode dissipation rating "not to
exceed 1500-watts" would allow the use of (23) 4E27s in parallel. The
Zout would be 560 ohms. With an anode supply of 4kV and transverse
forced air cooling, a 4E27 can produce 450w pep in SSB-voice, Class AB2
g-g linear amplifier service. . Hmmmm. That's over 10,000w output,
Bob. We already have a problem with holes in the ozone layer. With
amateur radio operators using that much suds, holes could be burned clean
through the ether.
