You would think that would be the case. I too have firsthand experience. If you 
pack it your self and THEY determine it was not properly packed they can will 
and do reject the claim .. does not matter if you paid the insurance. Does not 
seem right but that is the way they operate. i have had a few claims paid no 
questions I have also had a couple rejected as they said it was NOT properly 
packed and again all had insurance purchases made
