Unassisted category splits into two kind of operators:

1) I say I do not use or take any benefit from packet, and actually I
do (suffering a lot if someone is spotting me).
2) I swear I dont use it, but actually I do use it (because I wan't to
try winning, and I think everyone does it, and I'm not the most
stupid).

In case o need, those at point 2 will also explain the world how
detrimental and uneffective to the final score is the use of packet...
But as this world is a strange one, by checking onair as soon as a
new good spot comes out, here some of the unassisted ops magically
appear, just on that frequency, calling for their mult... better
organized than the MM fox hunters.

And what to say about "promoted" calls, I mean spotted, along the contest?
Where is the station and what is the call, this is not only helpful
for who replies but also for the pileupper, isn't it?
Isn't it obvious those belonging at point two will ask friends to be
promoted, or will do it... by himself (using someone else call)?

The difficult point is now to distinguish between first or second
category, but there is more...
When those belonging at 2 are somehow caught, generally they deny, and
noting happens to them. The final result of this occurrence is that
the second category will be bigger and bigger, year after year.

I've the perception that excluding newbies, casuals and purists at
first point, the rest of people when watching at results believes that
higher unassisted scores are consequence to the second way of
operating.

...just my (euro) cent.
