I think these are both good ideas.  Here's an idea to enhance the
master.dta effectiveness: provide a Web site where users can add a
callsign to master.dta that they plan on using in an upcoming contest
(and isn't in the database), with the proviso being that they should
do so well before the contest to allow for master.dta distribution.
The same Web site could provide download capability.
