That's interesting.
Recently (a year or two ago?) I put CFLs in a half bath, two over the
mirror and one in the ceiling fixture. All of them are inverted. The
ones over the mirror were too bright (noticeably MORE than their
stated equivalent) and I had to drop down another size. The one in
the ceiling fixture is a higher wattage bulb and enclosed inside a
glass sphere ... four strikes against it. I thought it would be an
interesting experiment to see if they last. (So far, no smoke.)
I think they are all Sylvania bulbs.
It's a half-bath so not high humidity.
