So if you are fortunate enough to have a waterfall on your fancy radio and can avoid problems by using the waterfall, then that's just fine. But the rest of us (the majority) are still operating S&P the old fashioned way. I agree that the skimmer folks will figure it out eventually - they should be commended for what they are doing. In the meantime, why not just start using QRZ, TEST or whatever suits you - anything but CQ ??
