Well James for about $3.00 and 10 minutes soldering
time you can fix that problem and install a RIT
circuit at the same time. The mod is on the unnoficial
Ten Tec page and in QSTs Hints and Kinks book. I
modified mine, installed the RIT circuit and it works
great. Doesn't drift a bit at 30 WPM or higher.
Ever since I discovered PSK-31 I haven't been on CW
but the Scout does a real nice job on PSK-31, with or
without the mod.
