Hi, Pete, and everyone else,

If you run the Scout's power cable directly to the
battery you will have no problem running it mobile.  I
did that a few times when I had mine but never mounted
it permanently.  The Scout is an excellent mobile SSB
rig and the noise blanker does work.  I do NOT run CW
mobile.

Of course, I think the Argonaut V I now have would be
even better but that would cost money :)
