Just reduce the RF gain enough to get rid of excessive band noise and
operate the rig normally.  I run mine with RF gain at about 95 but this
varies greatly with band noise and antenna.  I usually have the preamp on
but again this vaires with band noise.  I never use NR.  I run my AGC at
medium or slow.
