Thank you for taking the time to send the setup information. However, it
still does not communicate. I did a master reset of the Omni with no change?
I have a couple of additional questions. The PCI serial card has two DB9
female connectors on it. Looking at the hardware information on Windows XP
it says they are COM-5 and Com-6. How do I tell which is which? I.E.: is the
cable hooked up to 5 or 6?
In TRX the setup manager (Parameters) on the right side there is a TRX Port
1 with a pull down box with all of the possible Com 5,6 etc connections.
Below this is another pull down box with Com 5, 6 etc. Which one is for the
communication port the cable is hooked up to my computer? What is the other
one for?

I don't remember If you have a manual, And if you checked the settings
according to the manual. When I ran TRX the first time The only thing i
had to do was select the rig then pick my baud rate and comm port.
Everthing else I left as default. I have Addr.=04, Ctrl=E0, mem=90,
Stop bits=2, TRX Port1=Com 4, CAT speed=19200, dual control=checked,
RTS Enable=checked, DTR enabled=checked, PTT=CAT, TX Interrupt=DSR,.
I use a over the counter Belkin cable from computer to rig. I am using
vista 64 on a duel Intel CPU. I also had to buy a serial card but mine was
a Rosewell. Just be sure the rig is the same settings as Comp.
Also you might try a master rest of the Rig. Might have a brain cramp.

was set up correctly? Still no luck, no communication. I
tried two software
packages, HRD and TRX.
Any suggestions on where I should go from here?
