I use 2.063Xg because of the possibility of using RF AGC. The only 
problem I have
is with RF distortion of audio during transmission. Perhaps better 
filtering of the
audio would be helpful whether using digital or analog methodology. 
Another feature
that would be useful for me is a spot function that adjusted the 
transmission frequency to
the appropriate frequency to "match" signals within a specified pass 
band as other rigs seem
to be able to do.
